Troubadour Mobile
I co-founded Troubadour Mobile, a mobile social networking software company along with Adam Torres and Hung Truong. We were based in Ann Arbor, MI, where we won a local venture capital startup incubator competition to receive $25,000 in funding along with office space, entrepreneurial mentorship and legal and financial support.
My Role
We analyzed the market as well as our strengths as a team and decided to create social, location-based “micro-apps” for college students. We conducted user interviews around campus, developed personas and started iterating very quickly, showing users our paper prototypes every couple of days. I developed the architecture and user interface of our flagship app, Let’s Pizza!, the iPhone 3G. Let’s Pizza! makes it really easy to grab some pizza with friends. We conducted usability testing on a prototype version of Let’s Pizza!, came up with refinements and developed business plans to monetize the product. I also became very interested in agile project management and led our team in adopting a simple agile process that worked for us.
